Near Dark (2008 film)

Near Dark is an unfinished American vampire horror film, directed by Ryan Zeller and written by Matt Craven and Kathryn Bigelow. It is a remake of the 1987 cult vampireWestern horror film directed by Kathryn Bigelow. It has not been completed, nor has it been released to the public in any form.

The film was to have been directed by Sam Bayer, written variously by Matt Venne and Christopher B. Landon and produced by Brad Fuller, David Bixler and Amy Kaufman. Studios involved were reportedly Platinum Dunes and Rogue Pictures.Filming took place in the summer of 2007, but was halted after several weeks by the studios disapproval of the dailies. A new script was later received, a new director hired, and the majority of the film recast. ........
